Genesis Mineral Services would like to appoint a Maintenance Trainer to support our current mine sites and who will complement our current and incoming maintenance professionals.

Our values, culture, and leadership along with the longevity of work and career opportunities enables Genesis Mineral Services to attract and retain industry leading talent.We offer the opportunity of supporting a Training and Assessment qualification whilst employed by Genesis Minerals.Your key responsibilitiesDeliver machine-specific training aligned to OEM specifications, site standards, and safe work procedures for key fleet assets (e.g., haul trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, drills, watercarts)Facilitate both practical and classroom-based technical training focused on fault finding, component change-outs, preventative maintenance, and inspectionsConduct on-the-job training (OJT), mentoring, and coaching to support continual development of trades personnel and apprenticesUndertake structured assessments and Verification of Competency (VoC) for maintenance personnel, aligned to core and role-specific competenciesSupport implementation of the Core Competency Framework for maintenance rolesIdentify skills and knowledge gaps through targeted upskilling programs and refresher trainingWork with Maintenance and Training teams to ensure training pathways support internal career progression and trade advancementEnsure all training and assessment activities are conducted in line with relevant legislation, WHS standards, and site proceduresAttend toolbox talks, shutdown pre-starts, and post-job reviews to provide guidance and reinforce standardsProvide regular updates on training progress, VoC status, and compliance risksAbout You:Recognised Trade Qualification in Heavy Mobile Equipment or Plant Mechanics (e.g. Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology)A desire to complete or completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116)Minimum 5 years' experience maintaining surface HME in mining or heavy industryProven experience with large surface mining fleets (e.g., CAT 793/789, Komatsu HD1500-8, 830E, Hitachi EX2600, 2000, 1200, Liebherr 996/9800)Sound understanding of WHS regulations, isolation standards, and maintenance work proceduresDesirable Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Workday, Talent LMS, SAP)Exposure to CMMS and maintenance planning tools (e.g., SAP PM, AMT, Pronto)Previous involvement in training system design, competency framework development, or trade progressionFamiliarity with critical control verifications and fatal risk protocols What you can expect from us:A caring and supportive culture.Professional and positive team environments on site, and at all facilities.A 'grow our own' approach with a preference to develop and promote internally.Access to professional development activities and educational assistance.Competitive salary, and options for salary sacrificing.Air-conditioned and comfortable accommodation facilitiesOur team lives by the ASPIRE Values - Accountable.
