Overview
We are growing – join our Defence division with services starting in February 2026. We are proud to become a new Australian Department of Defence partner, offering career opportunities to support the delivery of Property and Asset Services across South Australia and the Northern Territory. We have opportunities available for qualified Electricians to join our Defence division and support with this contract. These are permanent full‐time positions based at key sites across the Northern Territory including Darwin, Larrakeyah, Robertson and Tindal. Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment across all Defence facilities.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
* Install, test, and commission new electrical systems and components as required.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including documenting any changes made to systems.
* Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate work activities and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
* Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
* Respond to emergency call‐outs and perform repairs in a timely manner.
* Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with industry standards and technologies.
* Support the EU Supervisor by providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.
* Identify areas for process improvement and work collaboratively with teams to implement best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Ideally 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably within Defence or a similar environment.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and repair techniques.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
* Understanding of and commitment to workplace safety standards and practices.
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology, Electrician or equivalent qualification.
* Valid electrical licence.
* You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
