Experiencing year on year growth, they are expanding their international footprint, and have a newly created opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced Export Control Officer to support the growing business. The Role: Reporting to the Chief Quality and Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring documentation and processes meet all regulatory requirements for local, international trade, and defence exports. Key Responsibilities will include: Assisting the Chief Quality and Compliance Officer in implementing and monitoring compliance activities across multiple sites Managing and maintaining export control documentation in compliance with Australian and US regulations (ITAR/EAR). Supporting in the draft and submission of international export licence requests, EAR licence requests & ITAR general correspondence. Assisting with export control investigations, disclosure letters, corrective actions, root cause analysis, internal audits, and compliance reviews. Assisting in the preparation and submission of export permit applications as well as monitoring and updating internal systems to reflect current export control statuses. Acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day advice on expert control, regulatory, and procedural requirements. Ensuring compliance with applicable sanctions and export control laws and regulations. General administrative duties in the Compliance/Quality Department Participating in compliance-related project work to support continuous improvement activities. Your Profile You will have a number of years’ experience in a similar role, and have a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, and export documentation and control. You have the ability to multitask and reprioritise your workload when business demands are changed and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a high level of accountability and ownership of your position within the team. What You'll Bring Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement legislation and policy relevant to Defence Projects Experience with records and information management, preferably in a Defence, Aerospace or high-tech environment Experience in and knowledge of US export controls and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) In addition, you are process oriented, have an exceptional eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills which will see you succeed in this exciting opportunity with an international icon in their respected field.
