The VSAT RF NOC Engineer is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the RF aspects of VSAT networks. They ensure optimal performance, diagnose and resolve RF-related issues, and coordinate with other teams to address network problems. The engineer also conducts regular systems checks, configures RF hardware, and implements necessary upgrades or repairs to maintain network stability and reliability.Responsibilities:Monitor and manage RF equipment performance in VSAT networks.Detect and troubleshoot RF-related issues, including signal quality, interference, and link stability.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve network problems and outages promptly.Conduct routine checks and maintenance of VSAT RF hardware and equipment.Configure, optimize, and align VSAT antennas and RF components.Implement software upgrades and hardware replacements as needed.Analyze and interpret RF performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.Collaborate with field technicians to ensure proper installation and alignment of VSAT equipment.Maintain documentation of RF configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and network changes.Provide technical support to customers or on-site technicians regarding RF-related matters.Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in VSAT RF technology.Minimum Requirements:3+ years in supporting Satellite Communications Systems and 2+ years of experience operating Newtec Dialog Networks.Technical or Business-related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Military experience may suffice.Experience with Remote Site IP Core Monitoring/Control and Terrestrial Core Monitoring/Control.Solid understanding and proven track record utilizing standard ITIL methodologies.Ability to manage workload in-line with standard operating procedures.Strong analytical mindset and a team player.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with both Customers and Senior Management.Ability to pitch technical communications at an appropriate level.Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.Ability to focus in delivering world-class services to the customer.Ability to effectively prioritize workload.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills.Ability and willingness to work in Hobart, AUS for at least 8 months out of the year (specifically during August - March).Ability and willingness to work outside regular hours during scheduled project/change events.Preferred Skills and Experience:Experience with ANARESAT RF Monitoring/Control, MLSH Dialog Monitoring/Control.Working at Speedcast:At Speedcast, we seek motivated individuals who enjoy adventure and innovative thinking.
