About the Company
We are a globally established electric motor company with a workforce of over 14,000 employees across six major sectors. In Australia, we operate two core business units: one focused on industrial electrical equipment and the other on consumer goods.
As a spray painter, your job primarily will be spray-painting electric motors and other components as required. You also have to completing other tasks of a general operative within the modifications workshop and potentially various warehousing duties upon direction by the supervisor.
Spray Painter:
* Prepare and paint electric motors and components.
* Carry out minor modifications to electric motors as directed by the Supervisor (training provided)
* Use & maintain Company supplied painting equipment.
* Preparation (masking, sanding) of items to be painted.
* Measure thickness of paint and record results when required.
* Ensure correct paint type & colour used (Base coat, through to topcoat).
* Assist with packaging / transport preparation of finished goods.
* Ensure all PPE is always used and in good order.
* Ensure WHS and delivery standards are upheld.
General operative:
* Use electric, hand & pneumatic tools.
* Assemble & disassemble electric motors & fit parts as required.
* Ensure WHS and delivery standards are upheld.
Occasional warehouse duties:
* Un-packing & putting away spare parts,
* Complete Checking off delivery docket along with spare parts
* Ensure WHS and delivery standards are upheld.
EDUCATION
To be qualify, you need to have Industrial Spray-painting qualification or similar preferred. You also need to have warehouse, inventory control and first aid certificate as well as forklift ticket and similar experience will be an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
* Previous experience within a similar position is preferred.
* Experience working within a warehouse environment.
