About the role
As an Aquabliss Program Coordinator, you'll be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of aquatic programs and activities at our Thornton facility. This is a full-time position that will see you play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive an exceptional experience and the team you help manage are kept motivated and driven for success.
You will ensure our swim programs maximise class efficiencies through effective shift rostering. Recruitment, induction, training and performance management of supervisors and teachers will also be critical to success. You will lead by example by also undertaking some in-water teaching and pool deck supervising.
This role reports directly to the Area Manager and flexibility regarding work days & hours will be required with weekend availability essential.

What you'll be doing
* Assist in managing the scheduling of all aquatic programs, including swimming lessons, aqua fitness classes, recreational swimming sessions and competitive swimming training
* Recruit, train and supervise a team of qualified swim teachers, coaches and customer care teams
* Monitor program attendance, customer feedback and safety standards to continuously improve the quality of our aquatic services
* Coordinate our programs to maximise efficiencies through effective shift rostering will also be a key focus
* Collaborate with the marketing team to promote our aquatic programs and drive enrolments
* Ensure all aquatic facilities, equipment and resources are maintained to the highest standards
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the aquatic area, addressing customer & staff enquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
What we're looking for
* Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar Program Coordinator or Aquatics Management role
* Exceptional organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach
* Confident to accept responsibility for being the key decision maker on site with good judgement to know when to seek advice and help
* Proven track record managing a small to medium sized team, including performance management skills
* Highly motivated with a vibrant and enthusiastic personality
* Proficiency in Excel, Word and Office 365

Essential Requirements
* Pool Lifeguard Certificate
* First Aid Certificate
* Swim Teacher qualified
* Working with Children Check
Desirable Criteria
* Teacher of Babies and Toddlers / Infant and Preschool Aquatics
* Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes / Teacher of Competitive Swimming
* Pool Plant Operators certificate
