About the role
Sunshine Coast Eye and Retina is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Optometrist to join the team in our Caloundra clinic. The successful applicant will be employed for 1 to 2 days per week as a Contractor and they will work alongside other clinical and administrative staff to support two Ophthalmologists. As a valued member of the team at Sunshine Coast Eye and Retina, they will play an important role in supporting the delivery of exceptional eye care to our patients.
Job description
* 1 to 2 clinics per week
* Take ocular and medical history.
* Perform relevant clinical assessments including tonometry and visual acuity.
* Perform diagnostic tests including visual field testing, OCT imaging, biometry and extended retinal imaging.
* Maintain accurate patient records and follow all relevant healthcare requirements.
* Work in a team environment to encourage a positive experience for patients and staff.
* There is potential for additional roles and responsibilities within the clinic, depending on prior experience and skill set.
What we're looking for
* Experience in general optometry. Onsite training will be arranged for clinic-specific skills and procedures.
* Excellent communication and ability to work within a team to effectively engage with patients and staff.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently.
