Our company is seeking a qualified Locomotive Driver to join our team on a full-time permanent arrangement. This opportunity is a residential role and open to local applicants who are willing to relocate on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of locomotives, including mainline, shunting, and marshalling. They will also examine and certify trains as ready for departure, work in accordance with our safety and operational standards and procedures, maintain a high level of on-time running, prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives, and provide high-quality customer service.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong commitment to safety and our safety strategy. You must also be available to work 24/7 shift rosters and have extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience. A Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent is also required.
