Property Network of Australia is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join a leading retail property group, based on the Gold Coast. Our client is a top tier property group and owners of large-scale commercial and retail properties across Australia and we are seeking an individual with previous or current experience managing property operations, safety, compliance, and capital works within a large shopping centre environment.
In this role you will oversee all aspects of centre operations, including maintenance, contractor management, risk, compliance, and capital works. You will ensure the property is presented to the highest standard, manage budgets, and drive sustainability initiatives. The position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to build effective relationships with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day centre operations, safety, and compliance
* Manage planned preventative maintenance and contractor performance
* Drive capital works programs and sustainability initiatives
* Ensure statutory compliance and risk management procedures
* Develop and maintain strong tenant and contractor relationships
* Manage operational and capital expenditure budgets
The ideal candidate will have
* Extensive experience in property or facilities management
* Strong knowledge of WHS, compliance, and building services
* Proficiency in property management systems and MS Office Suite
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Analytical, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team
