About the role
Regional Australia Bank is seeking an experienced and people‑focused Regional Manager to lead our branch and lending teams across Inverell, Moree, Mungindi, Bingara & Warialda. Reporting to the Senior Manager Customer, you will be responsible for driving performance, developing leaders, and delivering exceptional customer‑owned banking outcomes across the region.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will balance commercial outcomes with community engagement, strong risk management, and a customer‑centric approach.
Key responsibilities
* Lead, develop and support Branch Team Leaders and Lending staff across the region
* Drive portfolio growth, credit quality, yield and referral income across lending, insurance and wealth
* Develop and execute regional sales and action plans aligned to organisational strategy
* Oversee operational performance, budgets and cost management across branches
* Ensure strong risk, compliance and governance practices are embedded and upheld
* Support workforce planning, resourcing and staff wellbeing across multiple sites
* Identify new business opportunities through market awareness and community engagement
* Actively represent Regional Australia Bank in local communities and networks
About you
* Proven leadership experience in banking, lending or financial services
* Strong people management skills with the ability to coach, empower and develop teams
* Demonstrated understanding of customer‑centric banking, lending products and business development
* Experience managing operational performance, risk and compliance obligations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Relevant qualification in Financial Services, Business or similar (or equivalent experience)
* ASIC Tier II qualification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
* Current driver’s licence and ability to travel across the region
