Position Purpose:
Join our dynamic team as a Project Engineer where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of contract construction projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in overseeing the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish and uphold project controls for complex projects.
* Support the entire project lifecycle from design to procurement and delivery, ensuring alignment with time, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
* Prepare comprehensive project reports, providing updates on project status and procurement recommendations.
* Conduct thorough reviews and audits of engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Assist in coordinating construction issues, consulting with the Project Manager for appropriate resolutions.
* Conduct construction surveillance and audits in accordance with relevant legislation and safety standards.
* Foster a high-performance team culture, promoting continuous improvement and customer focus.
* Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
Knowledge & Experience:
* Extensive experience managing complex construction projects exceeding $750k.
* Proficient in interpreting quotation documents, design drawings, and specifications.
* Thorough understanding of construction legislation, Australian standards, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
* Strong ability to provide project advice on contract matters and present recommendations effectively.
* Sound knowledge of project management and engineering principles.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and negotiate project outcomes.

Qualifications:
* Degree in architecture, civil engineering, project management, or relevant field.
* Construction Induction Card competency obtained within the past 2 years.
