We are a family friendly award-winning busy Tavern located on the beautiful foreshore in the coastal town of Port Denison/Dongara. The role is for a capable Chef, who can work in a busy team environment. Job tasks and responsibilities
* Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and quality standards
* Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
* Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in food preparation
* Manage and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients
* Monitor and control portion sizes and food waste to maximize profitability
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards
* Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food and equipment
* Assist in creating a positive and collaborative work environment in the kitchen
Skills and experience
* Worked in a busy kitchen for a minimum of 2 years
* Cert III in Commercial Cookery
* Hygiene practices for food & safety Certificate
* Food safety Supervisor Certificate SITXFSA005/006
* Have a good work ethic and great people skills and be able to communicate in an appropriate manner

Salary min $75k + super
38 hours per week
