This role leads the assessment of workforce management initiatives within workforce policy framework

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Advisor (Workforce Policies and Standards) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

* Develop and implement workforce management initiatives and systems including policy, fact sheets, and tools
* Review workforce systems and ensure accurate capture and monitoring of workforce data in key compliance areas
* Monitor and assess systems and standards of performance and develop recommendations
* Provide practical advice and guidance to internal and external clients on human resource management issues

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

* Whilst not mandatory, a formal qualification in Human Resources or relevant field with substantial experience in the Health sector will be well regarded
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

* Temporary full time (up to ten months, with the possibility of extension)
* Base salary ranging from $4 791.30 - $5 132.30 per fortnight

Workforce Policies and Standards is a team that provides quality Human Resource legislative and policy advice to management, staff and other stakeholders on industrial provision, interpretations, policy framework and issue resolution within the context of the Queensland Health employment framework.
