Role Status: Full-time term vacancy until 16 April 2027.
Remuneration: AHP3 ($108,347 - 116,216 per annum) + 12% Superannuation
Join the Department for Child Protection (DCP) as a Supervisor based at the Inner South Office and step into a leadership role where your experience truly shapes outcomes. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to:Drive professional social work and case management standards across a designated work team.Provide effective leadership by contributing to staff development and achieving positive outcomes for the department.Develop relevant and culturally appropriate services, with a focus on disabled and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.Forge partnerships with other agencies with the objective of increasing capacity to respond to identified needs and risk manage issues.Contribute to strategic leadership and business planning across the department.
To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience in supervising a team and managing high volume workloads to meet agreed deadlines to achieve required outcomes.Proficiency in developing productive working relationships with all levels of Government, non-government agencies and the community.Demonstrated commitment to leading a culturally competent practice, including the provision of training and mentorship.Expertise in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with key stakeholders.Proficiency in managing current or potential team conflicts and implementing strategies to guide and support team members.

Essential QualificationAHP (Allied Health Professional) positions are designed for applicants who hold a Social Work qualification and are eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
AHP3 Position Benefits:Salary: $108,347 - $116,216 per annum + 12% Superannuation.Additional 4% for child protection social workers, permanently enshrined in the Enterprise Agreement (highest paying in SA Government).$1,000 professional development allowance, increasing incrementally each year with a reimbursement of expenses up to $1,500 (AHP2 Level).Qualifications Allowance available for eligible higher qualifications relevant to the role.
Special ConditionsPersons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
