Position Details General Education Classroom Paraprofessional
• Ralya Elementary December 9, **** REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree, 60 credits Physical abilities sufficient to frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and/or lifting.
Ability to relate and communicate with children, teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Flexibility to support diverse classroom needs and instructional settings.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: One or more years of experience working with students in a school setting.
Interpersonal skills sufficient for prolonged and effective contact with students.
Familiarity with elementary classroom routines and management strategies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Support classroom teacher with instruction and learning activities Provide small group and one-on-one student support as directed Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources Monitor student behavior and respond to student needs Communicate with teacher about student progress and concerns Attend required professional development and staff meetings Other duties as assigned by teacher, principal, or Director of Student Services LENGTH OF CONTRACT : Remainder of ******* school year SALARY/BENEFITS : According to the Paraprofessional Master Agreement (Pay Level 1) 10 sick days – 2 personal days per year Various paid holidays Insurance benefit 30 + hours/week Longevity after 5 years of service APPLY TO : DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: Open until filled
