Clinical Nurse Specialist - Coronary Care Unit

About Our Coronary Care Unit
The 31-bed Coronary Care Unit is a high-acuity unit performing complex cardiac procedures regularly. It routinely sees procedures such as PCI, device insertion, LAAO, ablation, pre-op CABG, mitral clip, and TAVI. CCU provides the MET service for the hospital and medical suites, as well as a Priority Admission Service for chest pain and related respiratory conditions.
Our team offers extensive experience in the specialty and is supported by the Nurse Unit Manager and Staff Development Nurse. You will also work alongside experienced Clinical and Registered nurses.
CCU is closely integrated with the Level 3 Intensive Care Unit, which completes over 700 open heart procedures per year. If you are passionate about cardiac nursing, this could be your ideal role.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
* Provide care according to individual needs, maintaining a safe environment.
* Develop strategies promoting effective communication and relationships.
* Work in partnership with patients and families to make informed decisions.
Selection Criteria:
* Current AHPRA registration.
* A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in critical/coronary care.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional patient care.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
* Post-graduate certificate in critical/coronary/cardiac nursing (essential) or willingness to enroll in a post-graduate program.
