About the Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead health promotion initiatives in rural sexual health settings. As a Health Promotion Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-informed strategies to build workforce capacity, strengthen community action, and enhance access to vital health services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Spearhead health promotion activities: Design and implement initiatives that foster healthy behaviors and improve health outcomes among rural communities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with local agencies, community groups, and healthcare providers to ensure cohesive and effective program delivery.
* Evaluate impact: Conduct thorough assessments of program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
* Disseminate knowledge: Share best practices and research findings through reports, publications, and presentations to advance the field of rural sexual health.
Requirements:
* A relevant tertiary degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Development, Nursing, or a related field.
* Demonstrated knowledge of sexual and reproductive health issues in rural areas.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, with experience in building partnerships.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom for virtual collaboration.
* High-level planning, organisational, and time management skills.
