Drive transformational growth and impact through philanthropy as a senior leader at a prestigious cultural institution in Canberra.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to develop and implement a culture of philanthropy, private giving, and strategic partnerships that align with the institution's long-term goals and aspirations.
You will work closely with executive, senior management, and Museum Council members to identify prospects, design compelling proposals, steward donors, and secure major gifts for the benefit of the institution.
As a visionary leader, you will provide strategic direction and inspirational leadership to the Development team, its programs, and goals, driving business development relating to major gifts from individual donors, trusts, and foundations, as well as cultivating bequests for strategic projects and potential future capital campaigns.
Achieving income growth and surpassing ambitious fundraising goals requires proven track records, genuine interests in Australian history, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to craft compelling narratives, relevant experience leading fundraising growth strategies, teams, and donor relationships, and CFRE or other fundraising qualifications.
The ideal candidate must have a donor-centric approach, entrepreneurial spirit, passion for Australian art, culture, history, and stories. They must also possess a strong commitment to fostering a workplace culture that embodies diversity, equity, and inclusion.
In return, you will enjoy a dynamic and supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth and development, and the satisfaction of contributing to a meaningful cause.
