About the role
Adamson Earthmovers' is seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a contract basis on Milingimbi Island, NT. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and supporting the successful delivery of our water and sewer scope. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company while working in a vibrant and dynamic environment. This position is suited to someone willing to work a 2/1 or 3/1 roster. Flights, accom and meals allowance will be covered.
What you'll be doing
1. Supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards
2. Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to guide construction processes
3. Conducting site inspections and monitoring the quality of work performed by contractors and subcontractors
4. Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during construction, collaborating with the project team to find solutions
5. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to construction progress, changes, and quality control
What we're looking for
1. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
2. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role within the civil/structural engineering industry
3. Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering water infrastructure projects
4. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant building codes and regulations
5. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
