About The Role
We're seeking an experienced
Electrical Technician
to provide technical expertise and improve plant reliability at BlueScope's Steel Treatment Plant in Port Kembla.
What You'll Do
* Troubleshoot day-to-day problems and recommend robust solutions
* Assess and follow up on equipment issues impacting plant performance
* Perform inspections, detailed planning, and condition monitoring
* Complete all aspects of jobs including planning, supervision, isolations, and electrical tasks
* Coach and mentor operators and tradespersons on equipment function and technology
* Conduct root cause analysis, reporting, and rectification
* Improve plant reliability through quality maintenance inspections and repairs
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Electrical Diploma or post-trade training highly regarded
* PLC experience (AB, Citect, Siemens preferred)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
