Farm Manager

Australian Cannabis University is a leading licensed cannabis producer operating a large, year-round farm. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Farm Manager to ensure operational excellence, maximize production volume, and maintain uncompromising quality across our entire cultivation facility.
Key Responsibilities:
The Farm Manager will have complete operational oversight and accountability for the entire production area, managing the consistent flow and high-volume production rate of plants across distinct production environments:
Cultivation & Production Volume:
- Oversee continuous crop cycles to ensure consistent, maximized output, coordinating plant movement and strict adherence to production schedules across all grow phases.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for irrigation, nutrient feeding, and specialized Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs tailored for mixed-environment cultivation.
- Environmental Management: Expertly manage all environmental systems, including HVAC, lighting, and irrigation in controlled environments and ventilation, shading, and climate control in large greenhouses.
- Lead all post-harvest processes (harvest, drying, curing, trimming, and packaging), optimizing these processes for efficiency and timely product release.
Team Management & Supervision:
- Directly manage, train, and supervise a dedicated team of farm hands
- Responsible for day-to-day team performance, task delegation, training new staff on SOPs, coaching, and ensuring safety compliance.
- Develop and manage the farm operating budget, strategically allocating resources to maintain continuous production flow and maximize resource utilization.
- Implement best practices for continuous operational improvement to maximize efficiency and optimize production flow throughout the facility.
Compliance & Inventory:
- Ensure 100% adherence to all state/provincial cannabis regulations, including security and facility access protocols.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate inventory records, tracking plants accurately through every growth stage and environmental transition.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Progressive management experience in large-scale commercial agriculture or horticulture.
- Direct experience managing commercial cannabis cultivation, with documented success in high-volume, year-round production models.
- Expertise in managing complex irrigation and nutrient delivery systems for both indoor and greenhouse crops.
- Proven ability to manage a small team effectively and oversee complex operational budgets.
- Solid understanding of plant science, greenhouse management, and climate control systems.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
