Linley Valley Pork is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Quality and Technical Manager to lead the development and ongoing improvement of our Quality Management System in line with multiple industry standards and customer requirements.
This role is based on-site in Wundowie and reports day-to-day to the Operations Manager, with additional support from the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager located in our Support Services office.
The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Food Science and have proven experience in food manufacturing environments. Strong people management abilities and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Your key responsibilities
* Oversee and review the site Quality Management System in accordance with legislative, regulatory and customer requirements.
* Co‐ordinate and manage major audits including but not limited to: SQF, CFMSR, Woolworths and ensure corrective actions are completed and sustainable.
* Oversee the Internal Audit and QA Verification program to help drive continuous improvement within the QMS.
* Manage regular Management review meetings and assist with reporting and dashboards that contain clear, concise, and accurate information.
* Manage and develop external stakeholder relationships.
* Provide technical support and guidance to the wider team to assist with Quality and Food Safety incidents and risk management across the business.
* Mentor QA team members in Food Safety and Quality requirements to improve Food Safety Culture.
* Promote staff development and training within the quality team.
Your essential skills and experience
* Tertiary qualification in Food Science or relevant industry experience 10+ years.
* Must have at least 3‐5 years' experience as a Quality / Technical Manager in food manufacturing sector.
* Excellent knowledge of HACCP and Quality Management Systems.
* Extensive experience managing external customer and GFSI audits.
* Experience with developing continuous improvement plans to meet compliance requirements.
* Collaboration skills to work independently and in a team to develop better systems and processes.
