Salary: $98,478.00 - $104,165.00 p.a. (Pro Rata) ASO6 | Full Time – Ongoing
An exciting opportunity exists within the Clinical Coding Service team for a Coding Auditor / Educator to join us on an ongoing basis, working in a full-time capacity.
About the role:
As the Coding Auditor / Educator, you will conduct regular cycles of random and targeted audits to ensure accurate coding, legitimate maximisation of Casemix / ABF revenue, and identify education requirements. You will also support SALHN's trainee program as needed.
Key duties include:
1. Developing and participating in the design of coding/documentation audit tools.
2. Establishing and monitoring benchmarks for coding accuracy and performance, including financial impacts.
3. Ensuring the Coding Service meets all relevant accreditation standards from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
4. Consulting with coding staff to identify training needs and assisting in training and mentoring new staff.
About you:
1. High-level time management and organisational skills.
2. Proven experience with basic computing, including Microsoft Office applications.
3. Advanced clinical coding experience, particularly in ICD-10-AM coding.
4. Experience in auditing clinical coded data.
5. Successful completion of a recognised Diploma of Clinical Coding (HLT50321) or equivalent, with demonstrated advanced competency in ICD-10-AM coding.
