We’re BOWERBIRD: a leading interior design and property styling business based in Sydney’s south. Every day, we transform homes into spaces people fall in love with and behind the scenes, there’s a finely-tuned operations team making it all happen.
We’re looking for an Operations Assistant to work closely with our Head of Operations. This is a support role with real responsibility and room to grow. Whether you’re brand new to the industry or have some experience under your belt, if you’re ready to learn and contribute, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be the right hand to our Head of Operations, helping to keep our logistics and styling projects running smoothly. You’ll:
• Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly schedules
• Book and confirm logistics—deliveries, installs, removals, collections
• Keep calendars updated and accurate
• Schedule subcontractors and support crew when needed
• Conduct quality control checks on styled items using checklists
• Monitor safety and process compliance
• Take meeting notes, track follow-ups and support team communication
• Prepare simple reports and updates for the team
• Attend on-site jobs and inspections from time to time
• Keep records tidy, including contractor hours and site info
• Help plan internal events, training sessions, and support process improvements
You won’t be thrown in the deep end, we’ll train you, guide you, and help you grow. But we’ll also trust you with real work from day one.

Who You Are
This role is ideal if you’re:
• At the start of your career or bringing early experience in operations, logistics, admin or customer service
• Naturally organised, calm under pressure, and good at keeping things on track
• A clear communicator who enjoys working with people
• Comfortable with systems, checklists and a bit of spreadsheet work
• Excited to learn from a supportive leader and take on more over time
• Looking for a long-term opportunity to build your skills and grow with a team
