Overview
Are you a seasoned project leader who thrives in the complex world of institutional building? We’re working with a well-established builder seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to oversee major institutional projects valued at $30 million or more.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution and delivery of institutional projects valued at > $30 M — e.g., education, community/civic, government.
- Manage project lifecycle: feasibility, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, hand-over and defects.
- Oversee project teams including Contracts Administrators, site teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety (OHS), environmental and heritage/heritage-adaptive requirements.
- Monitor and control project risks, cost drivers, program impacts and change management.
What You Bring
- Proven senior project management experience in the institutional sector (education, government, community/civic) on projects of $30 M+.
- Strong commercial acumen: managing budgets, contracts, claims and variations.
- Exceptional leadership and people skills: ability to inspire, manage and develop project teams; balanced with hands-on execution.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar; membership of relevant professional body advantageous.
