Following an internal promotion, we now have a very exciting opportunity for a Head of Finance to partner with the Australia/New Z business leaders and managers. The primary focus of this position is to lead the ANZ Finance function to provide commercial leadership, financial governance, and decision support to the business. As a key member of the ANZ Leadership Team, with responsibilities at a Director level, you will partner with these leaders to drive profitable growth, optimise working capital, and manage financial risk while ensuring strong compliance, control, and operational discipline. You will provide commercial leadership to the business, play a pivotal role in delivering strategic vision, improving business performance, and protecting shareholders' interests. Working in a matrix environment, you will produce timely, relevant and accurate data and management reporting that facilitates effective business decision making. The position is responsible for establishing and controlling the business reporting systems and administrative services of the ANZ business, and providing financial information to the ANZ business, the APAC organisation and ensuring corporate compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Business Partnering

* Lead the ANZ Finance function and provide strategic and commercial leadership in order for Tech Data to deliver best in class service to our customers and partners.
* Partner with the ANZ Leadership Team to drive P&L performance (revenue, margin and profitability) and optimise cash flow and working capital outcomes, including improvements in cash conversion cycle.
* Provide financial insights (including regional, country and Business Unit) and challenge key business assumptions.

Financial Planning, Reporting and Insights

* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles, including the annual budget and monthly forecasting process.
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts for the organisation to provide clear insight into its commercial condition.

Working Capital & Financial Operations

* Optimise working capital including receivables, payables, inventory and improvements in cash conversion cycle.
* Oversee credit, collections and working capital management.
* Oversee vendor and payables management.

Governance, Risk & Control

* Act as the primary escalation point across all core finance processes, including:
o planning and forecasting cycles
o management and statutory financial reporting
o financial and general ledger control

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate in this role will need to be highly adaptable to the fast-paced, decision-critical, ever-changing work environment. You must demonstrate business partnering skills, commercial acumen and assertiveness to advance Tech Data's requirements both internally and externally. You should be able to think strategically and tactically to develop and communicate innovative solutions to our business leaders and managers. Experience in mergers and acquisitions, future growth analysis and developing methods to grow a business will be highly regarded. Candidates who have worked in high-volume, margin-focused businesses where the focus is on shareholder value will be well regarded. You must be degree qualified (Business) majoring in Accounting and Finance, as well as be CA or CPA qualified. Additional qualifications such as MBA, AASA/ACA and considerable practical experience in financial planning, reporting, risk analysis and control are desired. Gaining AICD membership or qualifications within the first six (6) months of appointment to this role is required.

Key Criteria

* Proven background in adding commercial value and support to an expansive business.
* Sound knowledge of international exchange transactions and import/export activities.
* Significant experience in an Australian commercial environment.
* Experience in understanding and/or working within a distribution industry/business model would be well regarded.
* Exposure to a US or a complex multinational business and an understanding of the SOX environment.
* The ability to organise and control major accounting systems is also required.
* Experience as a successful Senior Finance Manager (10+ years) in leading a diverse team within a dynamic organisation.
* Strong commercial and business reporting experience are a necessity.
