Job Title: Leading Hand, Urban Bushland And Vegetation
Darwin City Council employs a team to manage its urban bushland areas. The leading hand is responsible for coordinating daily maintenance activities and supporting the supervisor with planning and implementation of works.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate daily activities and scheduling of team members, plant, equipment, and materials
* Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing daily works in accordance with municipal plans and strategic direction
* Manage resources to ensure effective delivery of tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate III Conservation and Land Management or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience
* Coaching experience
* General Units of Competency or equivalent AusChem course
* Chainsaw competencies
* White Card
* Driver's license
* Ability to obtain medium rigid (MR) vehicle license
* First aid certification
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
