Job Title: Human Resource Advisor

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resource Adviser to support our HR functions across multiple livestock operations. This role is central to workforce planning, recruitment, compliance, and staff relations. The adviser will work closely with our farm managers to ensure HR strategies align with the practical needs of agricultural work while maintaining compliance with workplace relations laws.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to (and may be varied):
- Develop and advise on HR policies, procedures, and strategies relevant to livestock farm operations.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding of farm staff, including animal handlers, farmhands, and operational workers.
- Provide advice on employee relations, workplace health and safety, and compliance with industry awards.
- Support workforce planning to ensure sufficient staffing for seasonal and day-to-day farming requirements.
- Maintain accurate HR records, contracts, and payroll compliance documentation.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs tailored to the needs of livestock farming employees.
- Monitor and report on HR compliance, staff performance, and workplace culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Human resource, business, or related field. Adequate experience may be acceptable in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a human resource role (agriculture experience desirable but not essential).
- Sound knowledge of Fair Work Act, workplace relations, and HR compliance frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a regional setting and adapt HR strategies to the needs of livestock farming operations.
