About the role
We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Solar Roofer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of electrical services to our diverse client base. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to our dynamic company.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
* Install solar panel mounting systems and racking on residential and commercial roofs in accordance with local and national guidelines.
* Assess roof structures (tile, tin, Colorbond, concrete) to ensure suitability for solar installations.
* Perform roof penetrations and flashing using industry-approved methods to ensure weatherproof, leak-free installations.
* Install and secure solar panels with correct tilt, orientation, spacing, and wind-loading compliance.
* Assist electricians with DC cable runs, conduit installation, and safe routing of cables from the roof to the inverter/battery locations.
* Support battery installations, mounting brackets, and bases for floor-standing battery systems.
* Identify and report any existing roof defects, structural issues, or non-compliant conditions before installation.
* Follow all WHS requirements, including working at heights, use of harnesses, PPE, and site risk assessments.
* Maintain clean and safe work sites, ensuring minimal disruption to customers' properties.
* Capture and provide installation photos/videos for compliance, documentation, and quality assurance.
* Work collaboratively with electricians, project managers, and office staff to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
* Represent PROBEC professionally on-site, delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.
* Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and best practices
* Providing exceptional customer service to our clients
* Collaborating with the wider team to ensure project deadlines are met
About You
Along with a strong work ethic and previous experience, you'll have/be:
* Have previous experience in solar installations or roofing.
* Hold a strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with Australian standards.
* Be physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions.
* Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and take pride in quality workmanship.
* Be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions from team leaders and electricians.
* Be willing to learn new skills, including battery installations and system upgrades.
* Be able to work independently as well as part of a professional team.
* Hold a valid driver's licence (preferred).
* Full Australian working rights or be a permanent resident
* Understanding of electrical systems, components, and best practices
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Commitment to providing high-quality work and exceptional customer service
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
