This is not your typical sales role—and that's exactly the point. We're looking for a driven, strategic and people-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead Lamson Concepts' continued expansion into the exciting world of automation and robotics in healthcare and beyond. This is a rare opportunity to build a market from the ground up, opening doors with hospital administrators, government stakeholders and senior decision-makers across the public and private sectors.
As this is a newly created position, you'll play a leading role in defining the sales strategy, influencing key players, and helping position Lamson as the partner of choice for modern, intelligent logistics systems in hospitals and critical infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
* Market Creation and Development – Identify key sectors, stakeholders and influencers to build brand visibility and demand for our automation solutions, with a focus on healthcare.
* Stakeholder Engagement – Develop relationships with hospital administrators, health department representatives, and procurement influencers to understand their challenges and offer compelling solutions.
* Sales Ownership – Drive the entire sales cycle—from identifying prospects and pitching value to securing long-term contracts.
* Strategic Influence – Position Lamson as an innovation leader by staying across industry movements, contributing to thought leadership, and feeding insights back into the business.
* Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with technical, operational, and marketing teams to tailor solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
* A natural communicator and relationship-builder who thrives on opening doors and earning trust with senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrated success in business development or solution sales—ideally with exposure to hospitals, health, infrastructure, or government sectors.
* Commercially savvy, with the ability to spot opportunities, develop value propositions, and close deals.
* Comfortable working independently in a growth environment where you'll need to build structure as you go.
* While an interest in automation and technology is helpful, this is a sales and relationship role first and foremost.
* Willing to travel to meet customers and attend key industry events.
