Blast & Paint Supervisor / QC – Henderson WA
Location: Henderson WA (Local roles only – no FIFO)

Category 5 and Orontide are partnering with a leading WA engineering and maintenance provider to source an experienced Blast & Paint Supervisor / QC for their Henderson operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role overseeing blast & paint teams across workshop and site-based projects within Defence, Marine, Mining and Oil & Gas sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise blast & paint teams across workshop and site operations
* Conduct QA/QC inspections and testing in line with ITPs
* Lead teams, coordinate trades, and manage daily activities
* Prepare and maintain documentation (coating reports, ITPs, JSEAs)
* Ensure work is completed safely, on time and within budget
* Maintain high standards of HSE compliance and reporting
* Oversee application of 2-pack coatings using various methods
Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience supervising blast & paint/site operations
* Essential: NACE Level 2
* Strong QA/QC inspection and reporting experience
* Ability to manage teams and communicate across multiple trades
* Experience with 2-pack coatings and application methods (airless, conventional, brush & roller)
* Solid computer and reporting skills
Desirable:
* Trade Certificate
* Working at Heights and Confined Space
* First Attack Fire
* MSIC
* UHP Ticket
Mandatory Pre-Employment Requirements:
* Ability to complete online and onsite inductions
* Two recent work references
* Photo ID / Driver's Licence
* Police Clearance (within 3 months) or willingness to obtain
* Pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen
Pay & Conditions:
* Competitive hourly rate (Based on Experience starting at $60-$70)
* Day and night shift work available
