Prospero Productions is seeking a hands-on and technically confident IT & Media Manager to support our growing team. This full-time role is ideal for someone with experience in post-production environments who’s ready to take ownership of media systems, troubleshooting, and workflow support.
You’ll be central to keeping our edit suites running smoothly, supporting offline editors, and maintaining our media infrastructure across AVID, DaVinci Resolve, and shared storage systems.
💼 What You'll Be Doing
•Technical Support
•Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues on editing systems
•Provide day-to-day support to editors using AVID Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve
•System & Storage Maintenance
•Manage and maintain shared media servers and backup systems
•Oversee project backups, file structures, and archiving processes (online and offline)
•Workflow & Process Oversight
•Follow and support established workflows for transcoding, conforming, and backups
•Ensure folders are well structured and naming conventions are consistently followed
•Proactive Tech Improvement
•Stay informed about new tools, gear, and tech that could improve efficiency
•Collaborate with the team to trial and implement better ways of working
✅ What We're Looking For
•Experience working in a post-production, IT, or media tech support role
•Comfortable with:
•AVID Media Composer & DaVinci Resolve
•Computer troubleshooting (performance issues, connectivity, basic networking)
•Shared media storage systems (NAS/RAID) and backup protocols
•Organised, reliable, and responsive under time pressure
•A natural problem-solver with good communication skills
•Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
•Bonus: Familiarity with post workflows, ALE files, or transcoding settings
