Performance Analyst * Salary: $100,894 - $114,476 (Plus Superannuation) * Ongoing role * Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) * Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available) The Role We're looking for a curious and analytical Performance Analyst with experience in data analysis, research, or performance reporting—ideally in a government or policy context. The ideal candidate will be skilled in interpreting complex data, using tools and software, and communicating insights clearly to diverse audiences. Main accountabilities: * Advice and analysis contributes to policy formulation * Defines the appropriate methodology in the analysis of policy or research options * Develops and implements operational communication and consultation strategies on specific projects * Drafts reports and recommendations by interpreting and analysing data The Team The position of Performance Analyst forms a part of the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery within the Skills and TAFE group. Skills and TAFE (S&T) focuses on enabling Victorians to access the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to participate in today's workforce, prepare for future jobs, and achieve their educational aspirations. The Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD) incorporating the TAFE Strategy, Systems and Tertiary Governance branch and the TAFE Performance, Finance and Infrastructure branch, plays a system leadership and management role for the Victorian TAFE Network (VTN) across Victoria. About You The successful candidate should ideally have the following skills and experience: * Data Literacy: Considers data sources, collection and structure impacts in the delivery of data analysis. Generates descriptive statistics and relevant data visualisation leading to decisions under the guidance from subject matter experts. * Data Literacy: Ability to utilise advanced excel formulas, pivot tables and generation of data charts is required. * Political and Organisational Context: Understands issues and pressures to which the organisation has to respond; Understands the reasons behind the organisational climate and culture.
