About us
BlendED National is a new and exciting initiative of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), providing flexible, inclusive education for young people across the country who are unable to access traditional schooling.
Delivered online by a multidisciplinary team, BlendED National supports young people through trauma-informed, relationship-based learning that prioritises safety, connection, and individualised support. The program is designed to meet the needs of young people experiencing complex barriers to education, and is grounded in EREA's commitment to educational equity and radical inclusion. Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, environmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices. We recognise that each young person's journey is unique. Our staff are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and empowering learning environment where young people can develop confidence, reconnect with education, and work towards their goals.
The Role
We are seeking a School Psychologist to join our team in Hobart. The School Psychologist supports the academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development of students by conducting early screenings, completing initial assessments, and coordinating referrals to external services when required. A key part of the role is building staff capability and supervising Learning Support Officers, ensuring evidence-based practice, high-quality support for diverse learners, and compliance with the NCCD framework.

Ongoing; Part time (0.6 FTE)
Commencement: ASAP, 2026
Salary: This position is classified under the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024. The salary will be in line with the Wellbeing Salary Schedule, Level 4 – Level 5, ranging from $97,503 to $118,560 (pro rata), plus salary packaging and superannuation, and will be commensurate with the successful applicant's experience and qualifications. A company vehicle is provided for home-to-site and regional travel requirements.
You will need
* Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty
* Tertiary (degree level or higher) qualification in Psychology.
* Full registration with AHPRA.
* A minimum of 4 years of experience working as a registered psychologist, ideally within an educational or child/youth mental health setting.
* Strong skills and knowledge to perform educational and clinical assessments for ADHD and Autism.
* Hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People check or have the ability to obtain.
* Hold a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months)
* Hold appropriate Australian Work Rights.
* Valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to drive school vehicles when required.
* Strong knowledge of, and experience in, psychological assessments relevant to school settings, including learning, behavioural, and social-emotional screening tools.
* Ability to work effectively with vulnerable young people using trauma‐informed approaches that foster resilience and support diverse social, emotional, and educational needs.
* Previous experience relevant to supporting and/or leading an organisations commitment to being a child safe organisation.
