Job Overview

\

As a key member of our organization, we are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Specialist to design and implement enterprise-level network architecture for one of our Federal Government clients in Canberra.

\

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of security best practices, including firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, Network Access Control (NAC), Zero Trust architecture, and alignment with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or ASD Essential Eight.

\

Responsibilities include investigating and resolving operational and security-related issues, developing technical roadmaps and network strategy aligned with business objectives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

\

Requirements:

1. Deep knowledge of networking protocols, architectures, and security controls
\
2. Proven experience in designing and implementing secure network infrastructure
\
3. Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements
\
4. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
\
5. Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively in a team environment
\
6. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
\
7. Professional certifications in networking or cybersecurity (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP)
\
8. 5+ years of experience in a similar role
\
9. Ability to obtain required government clearances
\
10. Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
\
11. Experience working with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools
\
12. Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
\
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\
14. Strong organizational and time management skills
\
15. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
\
16. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team
\
17. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering exceptional results
\
18. Strong leadership and mentoring skills
\

20. Experience leading projects and programs from initiation to delivery
\

24. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
\
25. Working knowledge of cloud-based services and platforms
\
26. Experience with IT service management tools and technologies
\
27. Collaboration and teamwork
\
28. Customer-centric focus and exceptional customer service skills
\
29. Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience
\
30. Continuous learning and professional development
\
31. Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances
\
32. Background check and credit check
\
33. Immunization against COVID-19 and other vaccines as required by the position
\
34. Valid driver's license
\
35. Mobility to travel regularly to client sites (up to 25% of the time)
\
36. Regular overtime required during peak periods
\
37. Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
\
38. Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support
\
39. Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences as required
\
40. Engage in continuous learning and skill development
\
41. Meet performance targets and metrics
\
42. Work closely with senior leadership and other stakeholders
\
43. Drive innovation and improvement initiatives
\
44. Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and vendors

45. Represent the organization at external events and conferences
