Sit at the heart of our region’s major mental health service as the Administration Officer for Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.
You’ll be the right hand to the Service Director; the organiser, problem solver and behind the scenes operator who keeps everything running smoothly. Day-to-day you will manage the regular office humdrum (diaries, E-mails, priorities), whilst handling sensitive information like a pro, supporting big meetings and assisting with coordinating projects.

Serving the vibrant residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands, and Banana areas, a lively catchment of over 250,000 people, we've got services right in each location to meet you where you are.

Rockhampton is our bustling hub, home to our main offices, the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and our top-notch acute adult inpatient facilities. We also have a cozy Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit right here in Rockhampton.

Our dedicated Adult Community Service Team is on the ground in Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast, providing personalized support to adults facing complex mental health challenges. Whether it's through outpatient visits, home visits, assessments, therapy, or case management, we're here to help you on your recovery journey. We work hand-in-hand with hospitals, primary health providers, community organizations, and private partners to reduce symptoms and foster hope, healing, and resilience.

About the role:

Are you a superstar at keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Do you enjoy juggling multiple tasks with a smile? As our Administrative Support Superstar, you'll provide high-level, confidential support to our Service Director, ensuring the wheels of our leadership team turn seamlessly.

Your day-to-day will be full of exciting challenges, from managing a busy office to acting as the friendly face and first point of contact for important calls and emails. You'll be the master organiser, handling everything from preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes to following up on actions and outcomes.

Your excellent communication skills will shine as you liaise with internal teams and external partners, helping everyone stay connected and informed. When your Directors are out or busy, you'll step up to provide backup support, making sure everything keeps ticking along smoothly. Managing diaries, deadlines, and priorities? You'll do it with style and efficiency.

About you:
* A pro at managing busy schedules and commitments for Directors, with awesome skills in administrative support systems, customer service, and records management.
* Tech-savvy with intermediate to advanced skills in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, HR systems, and records management tools.
* An excellent communicator! Able to craft complex, accurate, and professional correspondence with ease.
* Independent and self-motivated; excelling at working autonomously when Directors are away, with top-notch prioritisation and planning skills.
* Passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and adopting best practices to make work better for everyone.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,382 p.m. is comprised of:

* An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* 17.5% leave loading
