Position
Crane Mechanic / Lift Equipment Mechanic
Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on overhead cranes, side loaders and chassis stackers.
* Identify problems, perform inspections, run computerized tests, estimate repair costs, update repair records, and write technical reports.
* Remove and replace damaged or defective components; operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts and service trucks.
* Perform basic welding.
* Clean the shop area and perform stocking functions.
* All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications
* Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
* Open availability (24/7/365) including nights, weekends, and holidays within rotation.
* Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
* Valid Driver's License.
* Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction, Transportation, or Intermodal Industry.
* Physical job requirements: frequent standing, walking, balancing on elevated catwalks, bending, grasping; occasional sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, lifting; ability to lift.

Other Information
The position is unionized and after a 120‑day probation period, you will become a union member. Employees are subject to a shift change every six months.
