About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with over two decades of delivering practical, high-quality solutions to the resources and mining sector across Australia and globally. Deeply embedded in the Queensland resources industry, our client is known for an owner-minded approach that puts technical rigour and client outcomes at the centre of everything they do.
With a growing Brisbane team and a strong pipeline of work across advisory, capital projects, and operational engineering, they are looking for a Senior/ Lead Civil Engineers to take ownership of civil engineering deliverables across a diverse portfolio of mining and non-process infrastructure projects.
This is a technically focused role with real leadership scope - you'll guide junior engineers, engage directly with clients, and play a meaningful part in delivering projects that matter to Queensland's resources industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading end-to-end civil engineering design, including detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for mining and non-process infrastructure projects
* Verifying design integrity and producing high-quality technical documentation with meticulous attention to detail
* Managing complex stakeholder relationships across client, contractor, and internal multidisciplinary teams
* Representing the business in project meetings, site inspections, and industry forums
* Mentoring and developing junior engineers, contributing to a culture of technical excellence
* Collaborating across disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes on time and within budget
About You
* 7–15 years of civil engineering experience, with a strong background in Australian mining or resources
* Proven technical capability in civil design principles, design software, and verification processes relevant to the resources sector
* Must have the right to work full time in Australia
* Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards
* Strong leadership and communication skills with experience managing clients and multidisciplinary teams
* Familiarity with Australian mining regulations and standards (e.g. QLD Coal Mining Safety and Health Act)
* RPEQ certification is advantageous but not required — we welcome strong candidates at all stages of their registration journey
