The role sits at the technical heart of the program, helping ensure systems are safe, integrated, and performing as intended across the lifecycle.

Role and Responsibilities
Developing and refining engineering artefacts, including material that feeds into certification activitiesProviding specialist technical input across design, integration, and sustainment phasesSupporting test and evaluation — planning, running, and interpreting resultsContributing to technical forums and working groupsHelping project teams untangle engineering issues and keep delivery on track
Desired Background and Experience
Engineers with experience in Defence, aerospace, or complex weapon or maritime systemsStrong writers who can produce clear, structured documentation for technical and regulatory audiencesPeople familiar with guided weapons, combat systems, or broader naval technologiesThose who enjoy working across multi‑disciplinary teams — engineering, PM, T&E, and technical governanceIndividuals who can diagnose technical problems quickly and drive practical solutions
