About the Role
The Internal Communications Manager supports the development and execution of Avant's Group-wide internal communication strategies. The role is responsible for all our internal channels, from Town Halls to digital platforms, as well as written communications formats.
The ability to build strong relationships at the executive team level is essential, in particular, with our Group CEO & MD and Executive Team.
The Communications manager is responsible for driving content creation from key business stakeholders and supporting the People & Culture function in the delivery of its people strategy.
Key Accountabilities
Content Development and Management
* Collaborate with Avant Divisions to develop written content for various communication channels including executive team and People & Culture emails, feature stories and announcements for the intranet, along with reviewing selected Group-wide project communications and internal campaigns.
* Work closely with the design team to create visuals that enhance our communication campaigns.
* Create video content that supports key messaging and campaigns as required.
* Work closely with Avant's Divisions to help support their initiatives and calendar of activities.
* Build a content calendar that allows the business to best promote their messaging
* Lead and develop key Group-wide communication activities for example, Afternoon Bytes, People Leader Forums and support ongoing communications community of practice across the Group
Digital Communications
* Manage the day-to-day activity on our intranet, The Hub, driving traffic and supporting communications engagement on this platform across the business.
* Monitor digital analytics and provide regular reporting on communication performance metrics
* Manage stakeholder communication including healthcare partners, industry associations, and community organizations
* Coordinate speaking opportunities and industry events for senior leadership
Brand and Reputation Management
* Ensure all communications aligns with our style guide, brand guidelines and organisational values: Purpose; Passion; Trust; Courage.
Key Capabilities Required (Qualifications, Experience And Skills)
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
* 5-10 years of experience in communications, marketing, or related field (internships and graduate programs count)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
* Proficiency in SharePoint and digital communication platforms and tools
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

* Previous experience in a fast-paced, collaborative work environments
* The ability to work solo, without direction and take the initiative when you see opportunities arise
* Strong stakeholder management and the ability to understand where your role ends and another begins
* The ability to educate colleagues, peers and senior leaders on best practice communications approaches
