This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position until 30 June 2028 Are you passionate about cybersecurity, compliance and protecting sensitive information? Do you want your work to make a real difference to students, teachers and schools across Victoria? We are looking for a Security Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join our Information Security Services team. In this role, you will help strengthen the Department's security posture by coordinating compliance with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS) and other cybersecurity frameworks. You will work with stakeholders across the Department and with over 1,600 Victorian schools, ensuring security obligations are understood, embedded into business processes and reported accurately to government regulators. About the Role As a Security Regulatory Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in coordinating the Department's security compliance and attestation activities. You will analyse security data, support stakeholders with regulatory reporting requirements, and help drive continuous improvement in compliance processes. You will: * Lead and coordinate annual security attestation activities (including VPDSS). * Support corporate teams and school stakeholders to embed security requirements into planning and business processes. * Analyse compliance data and produce insights, recommendations and reports for senior leadership. * Support internal and external audits and regulator queries. * Contribute to automation and process improvements for compliance reporting. What We're Looking For We're seeking a motivated and collaborative professional who is passionate about cyber security, compliance, and supporting the education sector. You bring a balance of technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. You'll thrive in this role if you: * Have a solid understanding of security frameworks and compliance obligations (such as VPDSS, ISO 27001, ISM, or similar) * Enjoy working with data and can confidently analyse, interpret, and present insights in a clear and meaningful way * Are detail-oriented, with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and strong evidence-based reporting * Communicate clearly and effectively, adapting your approach to engage both technical and non-technical audiences * Build strong relationships and can influence stakeholders to embed security into everyday practices * Can manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively within a team Essential: * A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Cyber Security or related field * Knowledge of security frameworks such as VPDSS, PSPF, Essential Eight or ISO 27001 * Experience in compliance monitoring, reporting, attestation or audit coordination * Strong analytical and data interpretation skills * Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Desirable: * Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CRISC * Experience with risk frameworks such as ISO 31000, COBIT, NIST or SOC2 * Experience using Excel, SQL, Power Automate or data visualisation tools How to Apply Applicants are required to submit a CV and a cover letter summarising their skills and experience.
