The Opportunity As a Senior Civil Design Engineer or Principal, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering projects across land development, sub division, stormwater infrastructure. You'll play a hands-on role in the design, coordination, and delivery of engineering packages — from planning through to detailed design and construction support. This is a high-impact role where your designs will shape sustainable communities, drive development approvals, and contribute to long-term resilience. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and deliver civil designs for hydraulics, land development and engineering infrastructure, drainage, stormwater management systems, bulk earthworks, and utility layouts for subdivisions and infrastructure developments. Produce high-quality design documentation using tools such as 12d Model, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD. Provide design leadership, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and mentor junior staff. Liaise with councils, authorities and clients to obtain approvals and resolve design issues. Ensure all design work complies with relevant local authority and industry standards. Prepare and review design reports, calculations, specifications, and tender packages. Support construction delivery through inspections, RFIs, and design modifications as needed. What We’re Looking For Must have PR or Australian Citizenship or Bridging Visa for PR Industry recognised qualification ideally Civil Engineering (accredited). Minimum 4 years ’ experience in civil design, particularly in land development and/or urban infrastructure. Strong technical proficiency in 12d, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant hydrology/hydraulic modelling tools. Sound knowledge of local standards, planning requirements, and authority guidelines. Demonstrated experience producing and reviewing detailed design packages for subdivision, and drainage works. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to lead design coordination and client engagement.
