Head of Department - Student Engagement - Ipswich State High School, Education
We are seeking a dynamic Head of Department- Inclusive Practices, to join our Leadership Team to lead the daily operational implementation of inclusive education at Ipswich State High School.
This role ensures students can access and participate in learning on the same basis as their peers through coordinated adjustments, capability building, targeted supports and case management.
The HOD provides curriculum, pedagogical and adjustment leadership across the school and manages the Inclusion Team.

Responsibilities
* Operational Leadership of Inclusive Education
* NCCD Operational Leadership
* Case Management (Academic, Cultural, Disability & Access Needs)
* Build staff capability through the delivery of professional learning
* Line Management of the inclusion team
* Partner with Curriculum HODs to ensure curriculum alignment for adjusted programmes.
* Collaborate with Guidance Officers to support high‑complexity cases (academic and identity‑based adjustments).
* Work with Year Level teams on attendance, engagement and behaviour within an inclusion framework
