About the Roles We’re currently recruiting for 2 senior-level roles with a respected, long-established law firm based in Cairns: 1 in Property Law and 1 in Commercial Law. These positions offer sophisticated legal work in a collaborative regional setting, with genuine succession and partnership opportunities over the next 3-5 years.
Senior Property Lawyer: You'll bring experience across commercial and residential property transactions, leasing, developments, and related matters. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own matters while working alongside a senior partner who specialises in property and native title.
Senior Commercial Lawyer: You’ll advise across a mix of commercial contracts, corporate advisory, and general business law, supported by a strong pipeline of ongoing client work and minimal BD expectations.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years PAE with solid technical skills in either property or commercial practice
Confident managing files independently and liaising directly with clients
A leadership mindset: interested in mentoring junior lawyers and building towards partnership
A collaborative, down-to-earth approach aligned with the firm’s strong culture and client focus
Unrestricted working rights in Australia (NZ Candidates encouraged to apply) and ability to practice in QLD (no sponsorship available)
