The Opportunity
We have multiple vacancies at APS6 level, offered as non-ongoing 12 month contracts, with the potential for permanency. These are genuine vacant positions. Labour hire contracts will also be considered for the right candidates.
The Role
This role supports the delivery of programs and projects by providing high quality financial advice, program costing and budget management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing financial support with a focus on program and project costing, budgeting and forecasting
* Assisting with budget preparation, financial modelling and cost estimates to support business cases and project planning
* Working closely with program managers to provide practical financial advice and improve financial oversight of programs
* Contributing to month end processes, financial reporting and compliance with government financial frameworks
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders by translating financial information into clear and actionable insights
The Ideal Person
You are an experienced Finance Officer or Finance Business Partner with a solid grounding in program and project finance. You bring effective communication skills and enjoy working closely with project managers and stakeholders to provide practical, fit for purpose financial advice. Known for your attention to detail, you take a proactive approach to problem solving and add real value through sound budgeting, forecasting and costing support.
Experience with SAP, TM1 and strong Excel skills will be highly regarded.
You are likely to come from one of the following backgrounds:
* APS experience as a Finance Officer or Finance Business Partner, with exposure to project management, costing, budgeting and forecasting
* Experience in project finance, project accounting or consulting roles supporting Federal government programs and projects.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a NV1 security clearance.
Salary / Rate
* Labour Hire: $70/hr – $80/hr + 12% Super
* Non-ongoing contract: $98k – $111k + 15.4% Super
* 12 months contract with potencial for extension or become permanent
