With a strong reputation for science-backed nutrition and consistent quality, they are now seeking a General Manager – Agribusiness to drive market growth, build long-term partnerships, and lead commercial strategy across Australia and beyond.
The Role
As General Manager – Agribusiness, you will lead the sales strategy and execution for the exotic animal feed division. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, working closely with distributors, retailers, zoos, and wildlife organizations to expand market presence and achieve ambitious growth targets.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
- Build and manage relationships with zoos, wildlife parks, aquariums, breeders, and specialty retailers.
- Identify new markets and distribution opportunities, including international expansion.
- Lead negotiations with key accounts and strategic partners.
- Mentor and guide a sales team, driving performance through clear KPIs.
- Collaborate with product, nutrition, and logistics teams to deliver value-driven solutions.
- Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and regulatory developments to shape strategy.
What We’re Looking For
- 10–15 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in animal nutrition, agribusiness, pet food, or exotic animal feed markets.
- Experience in international markets and distributor management is highly desirable.
- Exceptional commercial and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of delivering growth.
- Passion for animals, wildlife, and conservation, with the ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear, customer-focused way.
- Robust leadership and team-building skills.
