Opportunity Overview
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) is implementing a new Activity-Based Costing (ABC) system to replace legacy solutions. This system supports accurate cost attribution for biosecurity, exports cost recovery, and financial reporting.
We're seeking a Government ICT Environment & Security Compliance Specialist to lead the secure configuration, deployment, and governance of TechnologyOne environments. You will ensure full compliance with ACSC ISM PROTECTED and Essential Eight Maturity Level 2 standards across the system lifecycle.
Key Deliverables
-Deploy and configure TechnologyOne environments (Dev, Test, Prod) per government security standards.
-Maintain ACSC ISM PROTECTED and Essential Eight compliance across all environments.
-Implement and verify security controls, monitoring, and logging.
-Establish disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity protocols.
-Conduct security validation and certification testing.
-Provide knowledge transfer sessions on ICT security and incident response.
-Deliver post-Go-Live support focused on audit readiness and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Environment Management & Compliance
*Apply and maintain compliance with ISM PROTECTED and Essential Eight Maturity Level 2 standards.
*Oversee security logging, fault management, and incident response processes.
*Implement change control, access management, and backup procedures.
2. Testing, Validation & Governance
*Conduct security testing and risk assessments.
*Document test results, risk mitigation, and compliance reports.
*Support audit and certification processes.
3. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
*Prepare ICT security documentation, SOPs, and incident response plans.
*Deliver training and handovers to DAFF ICT teams.
*Provide ongoing monitoring and remediation of security controls.
Essential Criteria
1. Proven experience in Australian Government ICT security environments.
2. Strong knowledge of ACSC ISM and Essential Eight frameworks.
3. Experience with security logging, incident management, and audit compliance.
4. Understanding of secure ICT architecture, deployment, and resilience.
5. Familiarity with government ICT procurement and compliance processes.
