Application & Database Systems Administrator
We are seeking an experienced Application & Database Systems Administrator to support and maintain critical enterprise applications, databases, and supporting platforms in a hybrid on‐prem and cloud environment.
This is a hands‐on operational role working closely with Infrastructure, Application Support, and vendor teams to ensure system stability, performance, and security.
Responsibilities
* Administer GitHub Enterprise (cloud and on‐prem), including user access and licence management
* Support enterprise applications including nGen, Sterling Integrator, nBis, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
* Perform application maintenance, restarts, upgrades, and patching (per documented procedures)
* Administer Oracle databases including backup support, patching, and performance monitoring
* Provide basic administration for SQL Server and PostgreSQL (cloud)
* Support Linux systems (RedHat and Ubuntu), including routine operational tasks
* Maintain and support scripts using Bash, SQL, and PL/SQL
* Provide basic operational support for VMware vSphere
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with Oracle database administration
* Working knowledge of Linux system administration
* Experience supporting enterprise application platforms
* Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise (cloud and/or on‐prem)
* Basic experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL
* Ability to follow structured operational and patching procedures
* Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments
Desirable
* Exposure to Oracle WebLogic or Oracle Data Integrator
* Experience in hybrid (on‐prem + cloud) environments
* Strong documentation and operational discipline
