We are looking for a passionate and skilled Barista to join our coffee team and deliver consistently high quality beverages while helping maintain our fast, friendly service style.
This is a specialist coffee role focused on beverage preparation and coffee station operation.
About the Role
As a Bourkies Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high quality coffee and drinks while maintaining consistency, efficiency and strong customer interaction.
You will play an important role in maintaining beverage standards and supporting the flow of service during busy periods.
What You Will Be Doing
Coffee and Beverage Preparation
* Preparing and serving high quality coffee and beverages to Bourkies standards
* Maintaining consistency in flavour, presentation and service speed
* Texturing milk to quality standards
* Preparing cold drinks, iced beverages and specialty drinks
* Following beverage recipes and portion control standards
Coffee Station Management
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station
* Monitoring and restocking milk, coffee beans and beverage supplies
* Performing daily cleaning and maintenance of coffee equipment
* Identifying and reporting equipment issues when required
Customer Interaction
* Providing friendly and professional customer service
* Communicating clearly with front of house team to maintain service flow
* Supporting efficient order management during busy periods
Compliance and Safety
* Following food safety and hygiene standards
* Maintaining safe handling of hot equipment and liquids
* Following Bourkies workplace policies and procedures
About You
You are someone who:
* Has previous barista experience in a fast paced café or hospitality environment
* Produces consistent high quality coffee
* Works efficiently under pressure
* Has strong attention to detail
* Is friendly, professional and team focused
* Takes pride in coffee quality and presentation
* Is reliable and punctual
