About the role
You will be responsible for growing new business opportunities (20%) and managing a portfolio of existing customers (80%). Territory area includes Victoria and South Australia. You will need to travel approximately every 4-8 weeks.
Key responsibilities:
* Constantly grow new business and customers
* Visit customers regularly to understand their business to serve them best
* Develop understanding of products offered and various applications
* Manage stock to avoid ageing stock and stock out issues
* Follow up on payments each month and ensure they are up-to-date
* Share market and technical information with colleagues
* Manage and resolve customer complaints and product quality issues that arise
Best suitable candidate:
* 3-5 years experience in front-line sales or technical sales role
* Outstanding track record in developing and growing new business
* Self-motivation, persistence, and a can-do attitude
* Proactive approach in serving customers
* Ability to build strong customer relationships and commercial acumen
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* Able to travel interstate or overseas once a quarter for one week
* Knowledge of polymer, chemical, or similar industry would be advantageous
